This was a study room styling in Meyer House, and it was one of those projects where small, thoughtful changes made all the difference.

When we first saw the space, it had this dark, moody vibe—beautiful in its own way, but not quite our client's style. She wanted something warmer, with vintage European touches that felt more like her. Think warm wood, soft textures, and plenty of neutrals.

The best part? She already had this gorgeous vintage secretariat cabinet and a collection of beautiful pieces from her travels around the world. We knew we had to make those the stars of the room.

One thing she was clear about: she wanted to work facing the window, but needed some sort of partition behind her to block the view from the main door. Instead of putting up a solid wall or heavy divider, we designed a custom screen made of wood and rattan. It gives her that sense of separation without blocking the light—just enough privacy while keeping the space open and airy.

We also swapped out the wallpaper and curtains for something with more of a linen feel, which added to that relaxed, lived-in warmth she was after.

Then came the fun part—styling the room with all her collectibles. Each piece told a story, and we made sure they had their moment. The result? A study that feels personal, layered, and unmistakably hers.

Sometimes it's not about changing everything. It's about honouring what's already there and shaping the space around it.
